Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager JIRA & Deployment will be the technical backbone of IMASTs delivery ecosystem, responsible for managing project lifecycle implementation, deployment, and performance tracking using JIRA.
This role demands an in-depth understanding of JIRA workflows, automation, permissions, customizations, and integrations, along with experience in enterprise SaaS deployments and client delivery management.
You will own the end-to-end deployment cycle from requirement gathering and sprint planning to UAT, go-live, and maintenance ensuring that every IMAST 360 project is delivered with precision, visibility, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
JIRA Ownership
- Act as the JIRA Product Owner and Administrator for IMASTs project management ecosystem.
- Design and maintain custom JIRA workflows, automation rules, dashboards, filters, and reports for all internal and client projects.
- Manage JIRA Software, JIRA Service Management, and JIRA Work Management modules across multiple teams.
- Configure user roles, permissions, and project hierarchies to maintain data security and operational clarity.
- Integrate JIRA with Confluence, Slack, GitHub, Bitbucket, and other internal systems for seamless collaboration.
- Train project managers, developers, and support teams on JIRA best practices and optimize their daily usage.
- Create project templates, sprint boards, and release cycles standardized across all IMAST client verticals.
Project Deployment & Delivery
- Oversee complete project deployment lifecycle from sandbox setup to production rollout.
- Collaborate with Product, Tech, and QA teams for UAT, release management, and version control.
- Plan and execute deployment calendars, manage rollback plans, and ensure zero downtime during go-live.
- Coordinate with clients for deployment documentation, approvals, and environment access.
- Track progress, identify risks, and ensure adherence to project scope, TAT, and SLA compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes using JIRA metrics, sprint retrospectives, and automation triggers.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with leadership to align project delivery with IMASTs SaaS roadmap.
- Generate data-driven performance reports from JIRA for clients and management review.
- Build frameworks for multi-project governance, version tracking, and sprint standardization.
- Manage a team of Assistant Project Managers, Coordinators, and QA Leads, ensuring efficient execution.
- Support pre-sales and client onboarding through process documentation and platform demonstrations.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Deep, hands-on expertise in JIRA Administration & Customization (must).
- Experience with JIRA Software, JIRA Service Management, and Confluence Integration.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
- Understanding of API-based integrations with JIRA.
- Strong command over deployment methodologies for web and mobile SaaS products.
- Excellent in cross-functional coordination, stakeholder communication, and client interaction.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate metrics into performance insights.
- Familiarity with AWS, Git, Docker, or DevOps pipelines is an advantage.
Qualification
- B.Tech / B.E. / MCA / MBA in IT, Computer Science, or Project Management.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project management; at least 3 years as a JIRA Administrator or advanced user.
- Certifications like Atlassian Certified Expert / PMP / Scrum Master / Agile Coach are preferred.

- Team: APMs, QA Leads, Coordinators, and Support Engineers
