Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing support tickets, resolving system issues, and working on system enhancements. The candidate should have a strong background in Oracle, SQL, Java, and experience with frontend technologies like React.js and backend technologies like Node.js. The role also involves debugging, working in Linux/Unix environments, and managing containerized applications using Docker (Portainer). Key Responsibilities:- Monitor, prioritize, and resolve support tickets related to various systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across Oracle databases, SQL queries, and Java-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements and improvements.
- Manage and maintain Linux/Unix environments, ensuring seamless integration with applications.
- Work with containerized applications using Docker (Portainer) for deployment and environment management.
- Develop and maintain web-based user interfaces using React.js and Node.js.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, updates, and reporting.
- Ensure system stability, performance, and security by adhering to best practices in coding and system administration.
- Assist in root cause analysis and provide solutions for recurring issues.
- Code review of junior developer s code to ensure coding standards and optimum delivery.
- Update technical documentation, support guides, and training materials as necessary.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Oracle database management, SQL, and SQL+ for querying and database maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of Java, JSP, and debugging tools.
- Experience with frontend development using React.js.
- Backend development skills using Node.js.
- Working experience with Linux/Unix environments, including scripting and system administration.
- Knowledge of Docker and Portainer for container management and deployment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle support requests and enhancements efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in IT support roles with a focus on application support and system enhancements.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage support tickets and development tasks simultaneously.
