Job Description
As a Lead Quality Assurance & E-file Analyst, you will ensure the accuracy and quality of GoSystem, OneSource, and UltraTax income tax products by testing, analyzing, and validating software features and e-file outputs.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Lead Quality Assurance & E-file Analyst, you will:
- Ensure the team performsquality assuranceacross all projects and securestimely approvals.
- Oversee resource allocation to guarantee thatXSD schemas are properly mapped and tested, resulting in high-qualityXML output.
- Ensure the product isapproved for productionon schedule, proactively identifying potential failures and planning corrective actions.
- Review team deliverables includingsign-off sheets, issue trackers, ADO tickets, and provide timely updates todevelopers and the e-file coordinator.
- Monitor project progressregularly and alert the team at key phases to ensure successful completion.
- Demonstrate proficiency inproject managementand consistently meet deadlines.
- Track and resolve both personal and teamADO ticketswithin the defined timeframes.
- Ensure allissues/bugslogged in the issue tracker are addressed promptly and updates are communicated toUS developers.
- Maintain accurate tracking ofproject completion statusand provide regular updates to theUS e-file coordinator.
- Evaluatedesigns, specifications, and processesfrom a customer perspective through thorough product testing.
- Assist in the creation and enforcement ofproduct and performance documentation and standards.
- Developtest plans, write and implementtest scripts, and generatereports and metricsto communicate testing outcomes.
- Identify team training needs related toproduct developmentand arrange appropriate sessions.
- Analyse project data to assesstime requirementsand resource planning.
- Independently manage allIndia-assigned projects, including identifying and addressing training gaps.
- Proposeprocess improvementsand contribute to continuous enhancement initiatives.
- Track individualteam member performance, provide mentoring, and supportcareer development.
- Make informedproduct release recommendationsand troubleshoot system features and functionality.
- Work effectively in adynamic environmentwith aggressive deadlines.
- Maintainpositive working relationshipswith internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with thee-file coordinatorto schedule regularTeams and TP meetings.
About You:
Youre a fit for the role of Lead Quality Assurance & E-file Analyst, if you have
- 6-10 years of experience in preparing US tax returns (1040, 1120, 1041, 1065, 709, 706, 990).
- Proficient in US tax technical knowledge and familiar with relevant forms.
- Possess strong knowledge ofquality assurance testing,manual testing, andUS tax technicalskills.
- Exhibit leadership skills includingperformance management,conflict resolution,recognising achievements,providing feedback, andorganising development plans.
- Capable of managing a team of8+ membersand handling associatedadministrative tasks.
- Participate inteam and cross-departmental meetings.
- Prepare and conducttraining sessionsfor co-workers.
- Demonstrate strongwritten and oral communication skills, including participation in regularTeams calls with US management.
- Prepare and conduct training for co-workers.
- Should have strong written and oral communication. Need to attend regular Teams calls with US management.
- Experience with GoSystem, OneSource, or UltraTax software is a strong advantage.
