Job Description

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced Migration Architect to lead the transformation of MSSQL-based applications and data workflows to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Analyze existing MSSQL database structures, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines for migration readiness.

Design and implement GCP-native data solutions using Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Dataflow, and other services.

Develop schema conversion strategies, optimize SQL queries, and refactor legacy code for cloud compatibility.

Build and orchestrate data migration pipelines using tools like Dataflow, Apache Beam, or custom ETL frameworks.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong hands-on experience in MSSQL development: stored procedures, functions, views, indexing, query tuning.
• Proficiency in GCP data services: Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub.
• Experience with ETL development using SSIS, Talend, or custom Python/Java pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization, and denormalization strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• GCP Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect certification.
• Experience with real-time data streaming and batch processing.
• Exposure to data governance, lineage, and compliance in cloud environments.
