Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- System Design: Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure microservices using Java/Spring Boot that can handle high-volume transactions and low-latency requirements.
- Code Quality & Standards: Establish and enforce coding best practices, conduct rigorous code reviews, and ensure high levels of unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers on complex technical challenges, software design patterns, and platform architecture.
- Performance Optimization: Proactively identify performance bottlenecks across the full stack (database, Java services, network, React UI) and implement effective solutions like caching (e.g., Redis) and query optimization.
Development & Delivery
- Backend Development (70%): Develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs and business logic using Java 8+ and the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA).
- Frontend Development (30%): Build responsive, highly performant, and accessible user interfaces using React.js, Redux/Context API, HTML5, and CSS/SASS.
- Data Management: Design, implement, and maintain database schemas (SQL/NoSQL) and ensure data integrity and query efficiency (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- DevOps & CI/CD: Work with DevOps pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI/GitHub Actions) to automate build, test, and deployment processes to AWS, Azure, or GCP environments using Docker and, ideally, Kubernetes.
Preferred candidate profile
- 5+ years of progressive professional experience in software development, primarily focused on Full Stack Java and React.js.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying microservices into a production environment.
