Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Chartered Accountant for our Statutory Audit practice (New Delhi office) while also supporting our marketing and business-development initiatives. The Senior Audit & Assurance Manager will oversee end-to-end audit engagements, lead a team of 15-20 people, ensure compliance with documentation and regulatory standards, and partner with leadership to expand the firms client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise statutory audit engagements across diverse industries, ensuring timely delivery and quality of audit deliverables.
- Review financial statements, audit workpapers, and management reports to verify compliance with IND AS, IGAAP, Standards on Auditing, Companies Act, CARO, and other applicable regulations.
- Mentor and develop audit teams, allocate resources effectively, and conduct performance reviews.
- Liaise with engagement partners, EQCR and client process owners to resolve complex accounting issues and recommend process improvements.
- Supporting marketing and business-development activities:
- Identify and research potential clients and sectors for audit mandates.
- Support preparation of pitch decks, proposals, and technical write-ups.
- Participate on behalf of the firm at seminars, webinars, and industry forums.
- Follow up on leads generated through events and digital channels.
- Embed the firms quality-control and risk-management frameworks into every engagement.
- Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards, auditing guidelines, and industry trends, and disseminate updates to the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in a CA firm or Big Six Firm environment, purely into Statutory Audit Domain.
- Proven track record in managing large, multi-location statutory audits.
- Demonstrated involvement in business development or marketing activities within a professional-services context.
- Strong technical proficiency in IND AS, Standards on Auditing & Companies Act compliances.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional audit-planning, analytical, and risk-assessment abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to Executive Management & Investors of Client
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business-development plans.
- Leadership and people-management skills to coach, motivate, and retain audit staff.
- Proficiency in audit-management tools and Microsoft Office suite.
- Business-development orientation, networking aptitude, and strong client-relationship management.
