Position Summary... Global Business Services @Walmart Global Tech in India is focused on deploying Enterprise solutions across all our global business markets. The team delivers solutions across various domains like Finance, People, Real Estate, Indirect Spend Management, Manufacturing and Retail.
The charter for the Global Business Services team is to deliver on the goal of Everyday Low Cost (EDLC) by driving efficiency in all the back office processes, through technology. Combining Technologists with Business Analysts and data experts, we build and deploy solutions that support billions of transactions every month.
As a part of the team that works on SAP implementations for multiple Walmart markets you will have a significant impact on Walmart s Global Business Services. You will partner with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and deliver successfully across projects.
What youll do:
- Highly competent and experienced SAP S/4 HANA candidate who has exceptional skills and experience in working on large upgrades and the ability to dive into existing code to figure out how objects need to be enhanced.
- Ideal candidate should have a proven ability to provide technical direction for complex SAP S/4 HANA issues, and can collaborate with the business and developers and execute on agreed timelines.
- At least 8 years SAP experience out of which 3 to 5 years in SAP S4 Finance. The SAP Data Migration Architect is responsible for designing and executing end-to-end data migration strategies for SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data transferred from legacy systems to SAP platforms, leveraging tools such as SAP Data Services, Syniti, and the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit.
What will you bring:
- Provide solutions including how to leverage standard SAP S/4 HANA Finance functionality and how to enable requirements while maximizing the ROI
- Oversee data cleansing, profiling, and migration activities for SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure data quality and governance standards are met.
- Implement ETL processes using tools like SAP Data Services, SDI, SLT, and Azure Data Factory.
- Define and lead the SAP data migration strategy, including scope, sequencing, and cutover planning.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and constraints.
- Develop reusable frameworks for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and maintain audit trails for all migration activities.
- Lead mock cutovers and production cutovers, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Design and implement data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy post-migration.
- Build dashboards using tools like Power BI to monitor migration KPIs and load statistics.
- Demonstrates the ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and understands the long-term and short-term perspectives of an IT investment situation
- Support finance business teams alongside other IT SAP staff
- Perform root cause analysis on persistent or major software application related problems
- Must be able to dive into existing code to figure out how objects need to be enhanced. Proven ability to provide technical direction for complex SAP S/4 finance system issues
- Support and promote integration relationships between IT and business functions
- Provide accurate timelines for specific tasks assigned
- Provide end-user support especially during Month end close
- Working knowledge of configuration for FICO is a must
- Knowledge on S4 is a must including the new Finance structures and Account based COPA.
- You will co-ordinate and take the role of the functional consultant and support applications in your area of responsibility i.e, SAP Finance. Work with innovative mindset to improve delivery.
- You will contribute to the success of the implementation by applying knowledge of SAP Finance in GL, AP, AR, FA to design and deploy enhanced processes and technical solutions in agile environment.
- You will work on functional requirement gathering, designing and development activities across multiple teams, Information Technology Groups and business stakeholders to collaboratively develop and deploy effective solutions.
- You will support the local and global community, in developing functional designs, making configuration changes, developing code and testing SAP application developments.
- MBA or M.Com with Finance specialization or any other relevant qualification.
- 8+ years of experience in SAP Finance (AP, AR GL, FA)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in SAP S4 Finance
- Experience with minimum of 1-2 full cycle implementations of S4 Finance
- Good understanding of Financial Processes
