Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Clinical Duties

Manage inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynaecological cases.
Attend antenatal, postnatal, and gynaecology clinics.
Conduct and assist in normal, instrumental, and caesarean deliveries.
Assist in elective and emergency gynaecological surgeries (laparoscopic/open).
Manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies in ER, labour ward, and theatre.
Perform daily ward rounds and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Ensure patient safety and high standards of clinical care.

On-Call Responsibilities

Participate in on-call roster for obstetric and gynaecological emergencies.
Supervise and support junior doctors and residents during duty hours.
Consult senior staff promptly for complex or high-risk cases.

Work Conditions:

Rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
Work in labour ward, operating theatre, outpatient clinic, and inpatient wards.
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including anaesthesia, neonatology, and nursing.
