Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Perform and interpret routine and specialized tests in histopathology, cytology, haematology, clinical pathology, and biochemistry.
- Assist in grossing, slide preparation, and microscopic reporting under consultant supervision.
- Review and validate laboratory results ensuring accuracy and clinical relevance.
- Participate in internal quality control, external quality assurance, and accreditation compliance.
- Support consultants in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical discussions.
- Supervise and train laboratory technologists and trainees when required.
- Ensure safety, confidentiality, and adherence to hospital and laboratory protocols.
Skills and Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of pathology principles and lab procedures.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
