Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret routine and specialized tests in histopathology, cytology, haematology, clinical pathology, and biochemistry.
  • Assist in grossing, slide preparation, and microscopic reporting under consultant supervision.
  • Review and validate laboratory results ensuring accuracy and clinical relevance.
  • Participate in internal quality control, external quality assurance, and accreditation compliance.
  • Support consultants in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical discussions.
  • Supervise and train laboratory technologists and trainees when required.
  • Ensure safety, confidentiality, and adherence to hospital and laboratory protocols.

Skills and Competencies:


  • Sound knowledge of pathology principles and lab procedures.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
