Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Power BI Developer to join our growing analytics and business intelligence team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable Power BI solutions that turn data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to gather reporting requirements.
- Optimize Power BI data models and DAX calculations for performance and scalability.
- Implement row-level security (RLS), data refresh strategies, and governance standards.
- Work with data from multiple sources (SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Excel, APIs, etc.) and integrate into Power BI.
- Automate report delivery and develop self-service BI capabilities for business users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI performance or data integrity issues.
- Stay up to date with Power BI updates and best practices to enhance the BI ecosystem.
Required Skills and Experience
- 39 years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
- Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
- Good understanding of SQL and ability to write complex queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Experience integrating Power BI with Azure Data Platform (Azure SQL DB, Synapse, Data Lake) preferred.
- Familiarity with ETL concepts and working with large datasets.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and performance tuning in Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
