Job Description
Transport and Security Officer
Experience- 4 to 8 years
Location -Navi Mumbai
Skills-Willingness to work during US night hours (India night shift).
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Coordination & Vendor Management
- Plan and oversee employee pickup and drop schedules during US shift hours, ensuring safety, punctuality, and compliance with company standards
- Coordinate daily with transport vendors for cab deployment, driver assignment, and route optimization.
- Maintain and monitor transport rosters, trip logs, and shift attendance data.
- Track real-time cab movement through GPS or vendor dashboards.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly based on service quality, safety, timeliness, and employee feedback.
- Negotiate best possible rates and terms with transport vendors while ensuring reliability and compliance.
- Maintain updated transport documentation trip sheets, invoices, driver records, and service contracts.
- Manage emergency transport needs (breakdowns, late-night drops, or unplanned employee travel).
- Recommend cost optimization and service improvement initiatives for management review.
Security Oversight
- Act as the overall security incharge for the India office during night operations.
- Supervise and coordinate with on-site security personnel to ensure safe access for all employees.
- Monitor CCTV, access control, and perimeter security systems during shift hours.
- Enforce and monitor night-shift safety protocols, particularly for female staff.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure readiness for emergency response.
- Maintain visitor and incident logs; escalate any breaches or irregularities to management promptly
- Coordinate with local security vendors or law enforcement when required.
Skills
- Strong coordination, planning, and vendor negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Crisis management and quick decision-making under pressure.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets for scheduling and reporting.
- Experience handling third-party vendors and ensuring SLA compliance.
- Willingness to work during US night hours (India night shift).
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in transport operations, vendor management, or security supervision, preferably in BPO, IT, or healthcare setups
- Knowledge of local transport regulations, safety norms, and vendor compliance.
