JOB DESCRIPTION
Introduction
Company is seeking a proactive Global RfX Specialist to enhance our procurement excellence through robust RfX processes. As part of the global Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE), you will play a pivotal role in supporting our category managers and demand managers worldwide. Your expertise will streamline RfX operations, drive process improvements, and ensure effective supplier communications.
Our global procurement organization enables our projects and business functions by maximizing value and minimizing risks via the procurement of goods and services in the most smart, cost-effective and sustainable way. We ensure a resilient and competitive supplier ecosystem and aim to advance towards best-in-class practices, and ensure the organization is efficient, effective, and future-proof. Furthermore, our procurement organization plays an important role in Vanderlande's transformation from an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) to a Configure-to-Order (CTO) business model. This new model aims at enhancing value for its customers through increased standardization, scalability, and more competitive solutions.
What will you be doing?
As a Global RfX Specialist, you will provide support on all RfX related tasks and activities, ensuring the smooth execution of proposals and quotations. In your role as Global RfX specialist, you support the coordination of submission timelines and assist in evaluation of supplier responses, working closely with business functions. Your role involves executing RfX-related tasks in line with predefined processes, ensuring adherence to established best practices and organizational guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Support category managers and demand managers around the globe with operational and administrative tasks during the execution of RfX processes (incl. spot-buy, light tenders), for example assisting them in the initial analysis of proposals and quotations, and be responsible for the creation of RfX documents
- Support the coordination and communication of submission timelines towards suppliers, collaborating with the business functions when needed
- Consolidate RfX responses in clear formats to support supplier evaluations
- Execute RfX activities in compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical sourcing guidelines
- Contribute and help in identifying areas for improvement in the RfX process and support the implementation of best practices
What do we ask from you?
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience (+3 years) in in procurement processes and sourcing strategies, ideally involving RfX events, such as drafting documents, evaluating proposals, and supplier selection
- Understanding of supplier selection criteria and negotiation techniques
- Ability to analyze supplier responses and identify key performance indicators to contribute to strategic procurement decisions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle multiple RfX tasks simultaneously and maintain accurate documentation
- Well-experienced with the Microsoft 365 suite apps like Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI)
- Excellent attention to efficiency gains and automation possibilities to reduce unnecessary manual effort and risk of errors
- Proven ability to identify and support the implementation of process improvements, preferably within RfX operations
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders globally
