Job Description
- As an Associate Platform Engineering Developer, you will be part of the core engineering team that powers the SAP Generative AI Hub and AI Core platform. You ll work closely with experienced engineers to design, build, and enhance platform components that enable scalable, secure, and high-performance AI workloads.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of platform services and APIs that enable AI workflows on SAP AI Core.
- Supporting the design and automation of CI/CD pipelines, containerized builds, and monitoring tools.
- Implementing features and microservices using Go, Python, or Java, and ensuring integration within distributed systems.
- Learning and contributing to cloud-native development using Kubernetes, Docker, and SAP s Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Collaborating with developers, DevOps, and product experts to ensure reliability, observability, and scalability of AI workloads.
- Assisting in debugging, performance optimization, and deployment activities in test and productive environments.
- Participating in agile ceremonies and continuously learning new technologies to improve development efficiency.
What You Bring
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in software development or platform engineering (academic, internship, or open-source experience acceptable).
- Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Programming knowledge in Go, Python, or Java with an eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, and container-based architectures.
- Foundational understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Eagerness to learn AI platform integration, orchestration frameworks, and cloud-native system design.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and learning agility.
