Senior Automation Tester @ Cognizant

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Automation Tester.

Location - Chennai, Pune, Kolkata

Notice Period - Immediate joining

Required Qualifications

• Experience:

7 to 12 years of professional experience in software testing, with at least 6 years dedicated to test automation.

• Programming & Scripting:

1. Expertise in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript) for writing automation code.
2. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

• Automation Tools:

1. Extensive hands-on experience with leading automation tools for Web/UI (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright).
2. Proficiency with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI).

• Frameworks & Methodologies:

1. Deep understanding and practical experience with various test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber/Gherkin/BDD).
2. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• CI/CD & DevOps:

1. Proven experience integrating automation scripts with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
2. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Databases:

1. Solid working knowledge of SQL and experience testing applications with relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Retail Domain
• Experience in Supply Chain (WMS / TMS)
• Experience with Performance Testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience testing mobile applications using tools like Appium.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Certifications in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Level).
