Job Description
As the Manager - Product Owner, you will be a key driver in developing our Gen AI based engineering excellence application suite. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the delivery of intuitive, powerful tools that seamlessly integrate into the engineers SDLC workflow. Your expertise in software engineering tools and Agile methodologies will be crucial in shaping a product that empowers our engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the product vision: Contribute to defining and refining the vision for our internal engineering productivity and quality tools, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Be the voice of the user: Collaborate with engineers to deeply understand their needs, pain points, and opportunities for enhancing their workflows.
- Translate needs into action: Transform stakeholder requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and well-defined features for the product backlog.
- Prioritize for impact: Utilize your understanding of business value, complexity, and user impact to prioritize the product backlog effectively.
- Facilitate communication: Act as a liaison between engineering teams and Engg. stakeholders, with an ability to understand technical requirements and ensuring transparent communication and alignment on product development.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously monitor market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and ensure our tools remain cutting-edge.
- Own the product lifecycle: Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including iteration, maintenance, and gathering user feedback.
- Measure what matters: Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product effectiveness, user satisfaction, and identify areas for improvement like User retention rate, Net Promoter score etc.
- Champion Agile practices: Foster an agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within a fast-paced, tech-forward organization, ideally within a software development environment.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and the unique needs of software engineers.
- Hands-on experience in a software engineering role, some one who has worked as a developer for some time in his career
- Experience working with popular software engineering tools like JIRA, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Android Studio, VS Code, etc.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e. g. , Scrum, Kanban) and their practical application in software development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and engineering tools, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), with the ability to comprehend and contribute to application architecture and design discussions
- Experience with analytics tools to analyze product usage and user feedback.
