Job Description

Senior Software Development Engineer Distributed Cloud (Quality Assurance)

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader to join our Distributed Cloud team and ensure our platform meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will design and implement automated and manual tests, validate distributed systems, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Develop Automated Test Frameworks and suites for the Distributed Cloud platform.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Validate complex distributed systems across multi-cloud environments.
• Perform performance, scalability, and reliability testing for global-scale workloads.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality is built in.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in test automation.
• Investigate production issues and contribute to root cause analysis.

Top Key Skills & Experience

• 7+ years in Quality Assurance, with 4+ years in automation.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or JavaScript for test automation.
• Expertise in automation frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright (or similar).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and APIs.
• Hands-on experience testing in cloud environments: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools: JMeter, Locust, Gatling (preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
