Experience: Minimum 6 years in software testing, including at least 4 years of deep hands-on experience in API and Web automation solving a wide range of complex, real-world quality engineering and automation challenges.

Role & responsibilities
- Design and build test automation frameworks from scratch and evolve them through continuous improvements, scalability enhancements, CI/CD integration, and long-term maintenance.
- Engineer solutions using Java, Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and integrate automated pipelines using Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
- Implement advanced reporting with Allure/Extent, and develop robust utilities for logging, configuration management, and test data handling.
- Interact directly with clients to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and represent the automation strategy.
- Lead a small team of automation engineers, drive best practices, and mentor junior members.
- Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of automation solutions across sprints and releases.
Preferred candidate profile
- Around 6 years of hands-on experience in API and Web test automation.
- Proven track record of building test automation frameworks from scratch on the Java stack.
- Ability to architect scalable, maintainable solutions not just write scripts.
- Strong grip on Core Java, OOP, Collections, Streams, design patterns.
Hands-on with Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle.
- Experience developing custom utilities, reporting plugins, wrappers, and reusable modules.
- Real-world experience integrating frameworks with Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
Understanding of pipelines, parallel execution, environment handling, and artifact management.
- Proved experience of guiding 3-4 automation engineers.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and drive quality engineering culture.
- Comfortable interacting with clients, gathering requirements, presenting solutions, and explaining technical decisions.
- Ability to translate business needs into automation strategy.
- Someone who takes accountability for timely, high-quality delivery.
Proactive with planning, estimation, and risk management.
- Looks at automation as a productcontinuously improving, optimizing, scaling, and stabilizing the framework.
- Strong debugging skills across UI, API, test data, environments, pipelines, and integrations.
