Job Description
Job Title: Engineer Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Location: Head Office Colaba, Mumbai
Reports To: Assistant General Manager HSE
Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Engineer in health, safety, and environment function with minimum 5 to 10 years of experience. The role involves supporting corporate HSE operations through MIS preparation, data analytics, report generation, and effective coordination with site teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for management.
Key Responsibilities:
- MIS & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain HSE dashboards, monthly/quarterly MIS, and compliance reports.
- Consolidate site-level HSE data, track KPIs, and highlight trends for management review.
- Support corporate reporting on audits, inspections, incidents, and sustainability initiatives.
- Data Analytics & Monitoring:
- Perform analysis on HSE data to identify risk trends, compliance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide necessary insights to for decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Coordination & Compliance:
- Act as a central coordination point between corporate HSE and site teams.
- Ensure timely submission of site reports, statutory compliance documents, statistics on internal HSE programs and ESG-related data.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and company policies.
- Support Functions:
- Assist in preparation of presentations, dashboards, and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Support training initiatives and awareness programs by collating materials and tracking participation.
- Participate in audits, reviews, and site visits when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- Full-time Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS)
- Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in HSE functions within construction/contracting industry.
- Exposure to MIS preparation, data analytics, and reporting at corporate or project level.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Understanding of HSE standards, statutory regulations, and ISO management systems.
