Job Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities but are not limited to:
- Perform accurate and detailed Heat Load Calculations for various building types using recognized software, such as HAP (Hourly Analysis Program), ensuring compliance with both UAE / Other GCC and Indian standards/codes.
- Thorough knowledge of HAVC products like FAHU's, AHU's, FCU's, Chillers, VRF, DX Units, Package Units, Fans, Ecology Units, etc. with respect to India / UAE & Other GCC Countries.
- Perform HVAC equipment selection for FAHUs, AHUs, FCUs, Chillers, VRF Systems, DX Units, Package Units, and related products based on project requirements for India / UAE & Other GCC Countries.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to ensure the correct selection and sizing of HVAC equipment as per UAE / other GCC and India standards.
- Prepare and review HVAC system designs, equipment schedules, layouts, and detailed engineering documentation for MEP services.
- Create and develop technical submittals, compliance statements, and equipment datasheets in line with consultant specifications for client / consultant approval.
- Prepare quotation proposals, technical-commercial offers, and assist the sales team with proper selection and costing of equipment.
- Provide technical support to customers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout the pre-sales and post-sales stages.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers regarding technical clarifications, product updates, and equipment customization when required.
- Assist in MEP drafting activities related to HVAC systems, including preparation of schematic drawings, equipment layouts, and shop drawings.
- Ensure adherence to UAE / Middle East HVAC standards, ASHRAE guidelines, SMACNA, local authority requirements, and Indian standards for relevant projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, and perform under different working conditions and pressure as required by project timelines and urgent client requests.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing enhancements in design, selection tools, and internal processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation, equipment logs, and ensure smooth communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Diploma holders with strong relevant experience may also be considered).
- 2-4 years of experience in HVAC design, application engineering, or equipment selection for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
- Proven experience working on projects and adhering to specifications for UAE/GCC (Middle East) and Indian markets is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of relevant design codes and standards, such as ASHRAE and local building codes for both target regions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills for interacting with consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Team player with strong coordination skills.
- Ready to join immediately or within a short notice period is preferred.
