Job Description
Role overview:-
UI Developer is responsible for UX and UI enhancements on Next.js based storefront and other UI that needs to be developed for eCommerce ecosystem of applications (SFCC B2B, Umbraco CMS, Tenovos DAM). Also, this role involves changing UX-UI custom features, APIs integrating third-party services/backend systems and ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of solution.
Should be well versed with configurations, customizations and testing of Next.js UI platform with use of automated tools.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain highly responsive UI components using React.js and Next.js.
- Build modular, scalable front-end architecture and ensure best coding practices.
- Integrate and consume RESTful APIs and handle complex data flows efficiently.
- Write high-quality unit tests using Jest, React Testing Library, Enzyme, or equivalent tools.
- Optimize UI performance, monitor application behavior, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support existing applications along with working on new feature development.
- Drive and uphold coding standards, peer code reviews, and Git-based version control workflows.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies using tools like Jira & Confluence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ownership mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to understand business requirements and map them to technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and collaborative workflows.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of DevOps & cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
- Experience with automation testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.).
- Exposure to performance monitoring, accessibility, and SEO optimization in Next.js.
Technical Skill Requirements
- Experience Required: 5 Years +
- Strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Deep experience of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Functional Components, React Hooks, and React State Management.
- Proficiency in TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, and async/await.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling authentication, error states, and data mapping.
- Strong command of build tools like NPM/Yarn.
- Experience with Git/GitHub and branching strategies.
