Job Description
Role: Lead Instructional Designer
Synopsis:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Lead Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal
candidate will play a pivotal role in designing high-quality, structured, and AI-ready learning content,
while driving content tagging, adaptation, and transformation services. You will collaborate with
internal teams and clients to develop scalable data pipelines, mentor junior designers, and ensure all
content is optimized for both learners and advanced AI applications. A strong background in
instructional design and digital learning solutions is essential.
A Day in Your Life: Analyze learning content and apply metadata, cognitive, and pedagogical tags to make it
searchable, reusable, and AI-ready for next-generation learning solutions.
Adapt and transform various learning assets eLearning modules, microlearning,
assessments, text, and multimedia into structured datasets that power data services and
automation. Prepare human-generated text for AI systems, ensuring clarity, alignment with learning
objectives, and adherence to tagging and annotation standards.
Design and maintain tagging frameworks and taxonomies that support adaptive learning,
personalization, and AI-driven experiences.
Apply instructional design principles throughout the content tagging and transformation
process, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0), copyright regulations,
and data quality best practices. Collaborate with AI and technology teams to continuously optimize workows for automation
and intelligent personalization of learning content.
Review tagged and transformed content for accuracy, consistency, and instructional
effectiveness, while conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and dening Corrective and
Preventive Actions (CAPA) for continuous improvement. Challenge existing processes, identify inefciencies, and propose innovative solutions to
improve content workows and support AI-assisted content services.
Maintain up-to-date process documentation, tagging guidelines, and knowledge bases to
ensure scalability and team alignment.
Partner closely with project managers, data services teams, and Subject Matter Experts
(SMEs) to deliver high-quality tagged and adapted content within deadlines.
Support cross-functional projects focused on integrating structured content into learning
ecosystems and AI-powered data pipelines.
Mentor junior instructional designers on best practices in content tagging, adaptation, and
AI-aligned instructional design.
Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops on annotation techniques,
preparing content for AI applications, and leveraging automation tools.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in learning, automation technologies, and AI-driven
solutions to drive continuous innovation.
Skills in the spotlight:
Strong instructional design expertise with knowledge of metadata tagging, taxonomy design,
and adult learning methodologies.
Procient in eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Rise), LMS platforms (Canvas, D2L), and
content management systems.
Experience in AI data preparation, annotation, and tagging for adaptive learning and
AI-driven personalization.
Systems thinking to connect content, processes, platforms, and workows holistically.
Challenger mindset to question assumptions and improve existing processes.
Familiarity with gamication, scenario-based learning, and immersive learning approaches.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to innovate workows using automation and AI-enabled transformation.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to evolving client and technology
needs.
