Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Assign accurate medical codes using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and other relevant coding systems.
Review patient records, including EMRs and paper charts, to identify diagnoses and procedures accurately.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards for coding accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies or questions related to coding assignments.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Desired Candidate Profile

2-7 years of experience as a certified Medical Coder (AAPC or AHIMA).
Specialty - ED, E/M, Radiology, Anesthesia, Pathology codes.
Ability to work independently from home with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare providers.
