Job Description
Role: Windfarm Controller
Location: Chennai
Exp: 5-10 years
Job purpose:
As Sales Engineer Upgrades Digital(m/f/d) your target is to develop aftersales solutions for our upgrade portfolio. By developing digital products and interfaces for our installed wind turbines, we enable customers, grid operators and direct marketers to control our systems and thus meet the latest grid requirements. You will work in a global and cross-functional team and be the interface between customers, the various service regions and central functions such as product management and have a direct influence on our business success
Key accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Supporting the new development of digital interfaces for the wind farm server (Scada, MOD Bus, OPC-UA, IEC 60870-5-104)
- This task includes specifying the technical requirements from a service perspective, monitoring the development progress, and applying and implementing the products in the wind farm
- Supporting upgrade sales by creating benefit calculations, coordinating with grid operators and implementing the implementation process (processing the order backlog)
- Working with our global service regions and our after-sales colleagues to convince customers and their stakeholders such as grid operators or authorities and to enable successful product sales
- Measurable impact on the business performance of the global service business unit
- Building a large network within the company and the industry to stay up to date with new technological developments
- Representing the team in strategic discussions and development decision meetings
Career / Job experience
- Completed university studies in the field of Engineering (M.Sc. or equivalent) or a Business/Economics degree with a strong technical background (Network Technology)
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Network Communication or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry
- Highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong problem solving skills
- Self-driven, focused and pragmatic with demonstrated ability to bring topics to success in a complex environment
- Optionally WindPRO and Python experience
- Fluent in English, while German would be an advantage
Education and qualification :
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Network Communication or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry
Personal profile / Competencies:
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Good team player
- Adaptable to change
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to deal with unexpected difficulties
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel
