Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Formwork Design Manager to lead and manage the design and coordination of formwork solutions for diverse construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 15 years of experience in 2D/3D formwork design using AutoCAD, along with strong exposure to BIM workflows, scaffolding design, and various formwork systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, review, and optimization of 2D/3D formwork and scaffolding designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee BIM-based design coordination, model management, and clash detection for temporary works.
- Provide technical expertise on different types of formwork and scaffolding systems, ensuring safe and efficient solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and structural teams to deliver cost-effective and practical designs.
- Conduct design reviews, address technical issues, and implement improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage workloads, schedules, and quality standards within the design team.
Qualifications:
- 8 to 15 years of experience in formwork, scaffolding, or temporary works design.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and working knowledge of BIM tools (Revit/Navisworks or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and multiple formwork/scaffolding systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
