Job Description
"Cambridge University Press (a global publishing company based in the UK) has recently set up India Operations Centre ( IOC ) at Tech Mahindra's facility in Hyderabad. The staff based in the IOC work as integrated members of global teams that develop and publish (both in print and digital formats), a wide variety of English Language Teaching ( ELT ) and Education materials along with Academic books and journals. A wide range of roles (spanning Editorial, Production, Marketing and Supply Chain Fulfillment) are being created and we are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced team members from publishing as well as non-publishing backgrounds. "
Summary
- Oversee the editing of audio files, using the appropriate software (Adobe Audition) to reconfigure asset to an acceptable delivery format for product build
- Oversee the editing of video files, using the appropriate software ( Adobe Premier Pro & After Effects ), to reconfigure asset to an acceptable delivery format for product build
- Should be versatile with Animation & Rigging
- To reformatting of illustrations and photos using the appropriate software (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator) to an acceptable delivery format for product build
- Where applicable, oversee image manipulation it terms of cultural sensitivity and cultural relevance to fulfil key market requirements
- Oversee the editing of video files, using the appropriate software (VLC Player), to reconfigure asset to an acceptable delivery format for product build
- Ensure that all assets are tagged adhering to metatagging conventions capturing all rights information, to facilitate reuse and rights management at the point of archiving in to the Cambridge Asset Management System
- Ensure that all assets are loaded as required into the preferred authoring tool (Avallain) library for pick-up and reuse
Required Candidate profile
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- 2 years direct work experience in an image or media reformatting environment
- Expert use of Creative Suite and all relevant applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional)
- Experience of audio and video file conversion and relevant software: Audacity for audio conversion and VLC player for video playback
- Experience of using a digital asset management system
- Familiarity and confidence with MS Office suite in a Mac environment
- Good knowledge of using Adobe Audition
