Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Maintain a safe working environment at site.
- To obtain approval from corporate safety department and subsequently from client as required.
- Ensure adequate and timely procurement and maintenance of personal protective equipment's as per standards.
- Daily site inspection in order to observe physical condition of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers and reporting to project manager and concerned staff.
- Identify any abnormalities / deviations in house keeping, spills and EHS violations and report to project manager.
- Obtaining safety declaration forms from the sub agencies as per corporate safety policy
2. Ensure compliance with statutory provisions and necessary documentation.
- Attend internal and external audits.
- Follow up for effective implementation of recommendations and observations/remarks by the auditors.
- Generate the records for closure of NCs raised in the audit.
- Accident investigation to determine root cause.
- Document the case studies of various types of accidents at site.
- Ensure compliance with government rules and regulations.
3. Continually raise the awareness level on basic safety aspects amongst engineers, contractors and workers.
- Provide training, coaching and facilitating for site level personnel to enhance their competency and capabilities of achieving safety targets and goals.
- Display safety posters at site to generate awareness.
- Organize toolbox meetings, induction programs with the workers as required.
- To carry out mock drills and other checks for preparedness during emergency.
- Impart necessary training to improve preparedness level.
- Identify scope for savings on personal protective equipments without compromise on safety.
DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Should be B.Sc / B.E./B.Tech/Diploma (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) with 5-15 yrs of experience.
- Should have recognized diploma in safety from state technical board or AICTE
- High rise building experience is mandatory.
