Description
Sutherland is seeking a reliable person to join us as FinOps Engineer will be responsible to serves as the technical architect of cloud financial accountability, bridging the gap between engineering, finance, and leadership to maximize the business value of cloud investments.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage cloud cost governance, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Analyze usage patterns and implement cost-optimization strategies.
- Work with engineering teams to guide cost-efficient design choices.
- Build dashboards and reports for visibility into cloud spend.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and FinOps best practices.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Cloud Expertise: Advanced proficiency in at least one major platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with deep knowledge of their respective pricing primitives and billing APIs.
- Data & Scripting: Strong skills in SQL, Python, and Excel for deep-dive billing data analysis and automation.
- FinOps Knowledge: Mastery of the FinOps Foundation Framework phases: Inform, Optimize, and Operate.
Experience: 8 to 12 Years
