Virtualization (Nutanix Certification) Job Description
Skill: Virtualization & Nutanix Certification Mandatory
Experience : 5.5 to 8 years
Notice period : Immediate to less than 60 days
Location : Hyderabad & Bangalore
L2/L3 Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Administration
- Configure and manage hypervisors, virtual networks, and storage systems across cloud and on-prem platforms.
- Should be well versed with hybrid cloud concepts.
- Solid understanding of VCF product suites/
- Configure Vmware distributed switch, Standard switch. Good understanding of network services like TCP/IP, Port channels.
- Configure SAN storage and knowledge of various storage protocols like FC, ISCSI, NAS
- Solid understanding of CI / HCI concepts like v SAN, Nutanix AOS, Cisco UCS, HP synergy.
- Strong experience with Nutanix HCI, Prism Central, and Prism Element.
- Should be well versed with Disaster recovery concepts and tools like SRM, Zerto
- Should be well versed with various hardware platforms like Cisco UCS, HP, Dell, Hitachi, Super micro, Lenovo.
- Should be well versed with hardware concepts like HBA, NICS and should have exposure to real world data center environment.
- Should have worked on datacenter infrastructure with a solid understanding of environmental factors like cooling, rack spacing, DC floor management.
Performance Tuning, Troubleshooting & RCA
- Analyse VM performance, conduct root cause analysis, and optimize resource allocation
- Solid understanding of VMware HA / DRS concepts.
- Strong understanding of performance aspects like memory reclamation techniques (TPS, Ballooning, swap, compression)
- Strong understanding of Intel processor architecture and SMP systems including intel HT, VMware EVC, NUMA concepts.
- Must be able to interpret various types of ESXi / Vcenter logs & Performance graphs.
- Troubleshoot VMware-ESX related incidents.
- Deep knowledge of and experience with VMware vSphere, vRA and component services such as vMotion, HA, DRS, vDS, Affinity rules, vCenter, storage vMotion.
- Extensive knowledge of configuring VMWare ESX/vCenter infrastructure.
- Hands on experience with ESXI and vCenter Update / Upgrade / Migration activity.
- VMware administration is responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and overall support of multiple VMware environments.
- Setup, install, configure, and triage ESXi Hosts (Rack Mount and Blade Servers).
- Knowledge of VMware to include vCenter, vSphere, and ESX 6.x. Solid
- Diagnose and resolve issues using Prism, NCC, and log analysis
- Troubleshoot storage path failures, network bottlenecks, and hypervisor-level issues.
Automation & DevOps
- Use Power CLI, vRealise suite of products to automate day to day tasks.
Security & Compliance
- Manage SSL/TLS certificates, firewall rules, and audit configurations for virtual environments.
- Solid understanding of ESXI security hardening in compliance with industry regulations.
Platform Engineering & Transformation
- Support cloud migration, image management and implement self-healing automation
- Actively Participate & contribute in engineering discussions and decision-making.
- Be well versed with virtualization and CI / HCI architecture.
Service Improvement & Knowledge Management
- Enrich KEDB, implement service improvement plans, and transfer repeatable tasks to L1.5 teams.
- Should be well versed with ITIL process like incident, change & problem management
Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Ensure platform follows Compliance requirements and Audit Readiness
- Lead and manage virtualization operations and ensure service delivery excellence.
- Oversee incidents, problems, change, and configuration management processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives in virtualization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and policy standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Skills:
- VMWare certified.
- Nutanix Certified Professional.
- Virtual Host OEM- Hitachi, Cisco, Dell, Lenovo, HPE, Quanta, VBlock, etc.
- SNOW
- ITIL certified
