DBT Engineer @ Citiustech

Job Description

Role: Seeking an experienced Senior DBT Technical lead to be part of our upcoming data 2025-2026 data initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in DBT, cloud data platforms, and complex ETL/ELT pipeline development, should be able to lead the project technically actively contributing to Design and Development. Experience: Overall: 10+ years in Data Analytics / Data Engineering, or related field DBT Expertise: Min 3+ years of hands-on experience with DBT (data build tool) including DBT Cloud and DBT Core o Expert-level proficiency in DBT development including macros, tests, documentation, and deployment strategies o Advanced SQL skills with experience in query optimization and performance tuning Cloud: 3+ yrs of Exp. In any major cloud (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable) Technical Skills: Strong experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) Hands-on with ETL processes Familiarity with BigQuery, Dataflow, and real-time data processing. Prefer Experience with real-time data processing (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Dataflow) Extensive ETL/ELT background with modern data stack tools (Spark, Scala, Pyspark/Databricks etc) and/or traditional ETL tools Informatica BDM Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow,) Proficiency in Python for data pipeline development and automation Good Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and data vault Responsibilities: Act as Lead Engineer for DBT implementation Front-run discussions with stakeholders, gather requirements, and kick-start projects Initially work as Individual Contributor, later lead a team of 34 engineers Ensure delivery of data engineering solutions aligned with client requirements
