Job Description: Draughtsman
Experience: 5 to 8 Years
Qualification: Diploma Draughtsman, ITI Draughtsman
Location: Pune
Role & Responsibilities
- Preparation of 2D mechanical layouts and drawings as per project requirements.
- Independent preparation of Bulk Storage Tank General Arrangement (GA) and Fabrication Drawings.
- Drafting of tank structural details, including shell, roof, bottom, nozzles, and supports.
- Preparation of welding details and sectional drawings required for fabrication.
- Coordination with design engineers to incorporate design inputs and revisions.
- Generation of Bill of Materials (BOM) for tanks and associated mechanical items.
- Ensuring drawings comply with Thermax engineering standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
- Maintaining drawing registers, revision control, and timely submission of drawings.
Desired Skill Set
- Proven drafting experience in the Ethanol / Process / Chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of tank fabrication drawings and structural detailing.
- Good understanding of welding symbols, fabrication practices, and sectional detailing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working on EPC / MPP projects will be an added advantage.
Software & Technical Skills
- AutoCAD (2D) Mandatory
- AutoCAD 3D / Revit Preferred
- Mechanical drafting, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM generation
