Cloud Architect @ Sutherland

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable cloud solutions using GCP/Azure/AWS.
• Develop and maintain IaC frameworks using Terraform or GCP Deployment Manager.
• Lead DevOps automation initiatives such as CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native deployments.
• Conduct cost optimization assessments and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud modernization and migration projects.
• Collaborate with application, security, SRE, and operations teams.
• Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.
• Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and reusable frameworks.
• Stay updated with the latest GCP features and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 612 years of IT experience with at least 4 years in GCP/Azure/AWS architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Expertise in core GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, VPC, IAM, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker.
• Deep understanding of cloud cost optimization and FinOps principles.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Cloud Monitoring/Logging, Prometheus, Grafana.
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification preferred.
