Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency):
We are looking for a skilled Mid-Level Liferay Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Liferay-based portal applications. You will work closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize Liferay Portal applications and components (portlets, themes, hooks, etc.).
- Implement new features and enhancements based on business requirements.
- Integrate Liferay with backend systems using REST APIs, SOAP, and other middleware.
- Develop and maintain custom workflows using Liferay Workflow and Kaleo.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize portal performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, UX/UI, and business stakeholders.
- Write technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
Primary Skills:
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience working with Liferay Portal (version 6.x, 7.x preferred).
- Strong Java development skills, including J2EE, Servlets, JSP, and Spring Framework.
- Experience with Liferay portlet development using MVC frameworks like MVC, MVCPortlet, or Vaadin.
- Proficient in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.
- Knowledge of database design and SQL (MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
- Experience with Liferay Service Builder and OSGi module development.
- Familiarity with portal security, SSO integration, and LDAP. Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
