Job Description
Job Profile: US Mortgage Underwriter
Location: Noida
Evaluate mortgage loan applications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and industry guidelines.
Review and analyze credit reports, income documents, asset statements, property appraisals, and other relevant documents.
Make informed underwriting decisions for Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs.
Approve, suspend, or deny loan applications based on thorough analysis and company policies.
Provide clear and concise conditions for loan approval to processors and loan officers.
Ensure all underwriting activities comply with federal and state regulations, company policies, and secondary market guidelines.
Assess risk factors and determine loan eligibility within specified parameters to mitigate potential risks.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of underwriting decisions and conditions.
Communicate effectively with loan officers, processors, and other relevant parties to facilitate a smooth loan processing workflow.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and underwriting best practices.
Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of mortgage underwriting experience, with proficiency in Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the 4 Cs of underwriting Credit, Capacity, Collateral, and Capital.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in mortgage underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
