Job Description

About the Job:This is a client facing role in Mumbai. The job requires an Engineer to administer the Openshift set up for the large PSU. He is required to provide RCA and resolve L2 tickets for the customer issues. He is required to provide Solutions to customer problems and create SOPs for the day 2 day operations. The individual is required to supportthe Day2 operations of the customer. The Job requires the individual to work in Shifts. What will you do
  • Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and high availability and system resilience
  • Learn new technologies quickly, including container orchestration, container registries, container build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networks
  • After joining Red Hat, you will go through an intensive training program on Kubernetes and OpenShift technologies and related DevOps and GitOps topics. Here's how your skill set will evolve and what you'll learn during your first year in the role
  • Understanding of how to build production-ready container and virtualization platforms, integrated with existing enterprise systems
  • Knowledge of how to deploy source code into running, scalable containers and virtual machines in automated fashion at enterprise scale
  • Successful, collaborative delivery of customer requirements using Red Hat OpenShift
  • Knowledge of how a customer use case can be developed into a project plan and how those requirements align with Red Hats technologies
  • Understanding of how Red Hats technologies can transform software delivery (DevOps/GitOps) practices at large organizations
  • Successfully implementing complex, large-scale container platform solutions in challenging customer environments
  • Helping other peers learn DevOps/GitOps paired with container technologies
  • Contributing lessons learned, best practices, and how-tos to our internal and external communities of practice
  • Applying new technologies, frameworks, or methodologies to container platforms
  • Ensures service reliability meets users needs, including internally critical and externally visible services
  • Uses software & systems engineering to design, build, and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems
  • Participates in an on-call rotation within a geographically distributed team to provide 24x7x365 production support, with responsibility to respond to urgent customer issues
  • Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
    • What will you bring:
  • Prior experience working directly with enterprise stakeholders on a range of development and deployment projects
  • Advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or underlying components like Kubernetes container solutions
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Experience implementing system infrastructure and cloud solutions, including data storage, networking, monitoring, and security
  • Ability to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to study on your own, learn quickly, and put new ideas into practice
  • Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel regularly
