BRD Manager @ Varite

Job Description

Client is a life insurance company in India. The firm offers life insurance products targeted at individuals and groups, catering to four distinct segments: protection, children, retirement and investment plans. Essential Job Functions:

• Go through F&U / U&F, Policy Document, Proposal Form / Sales Brochure / Defect Log /Production Issues.
• Understand insurance calculations such asPremium Calculation, Surrender, Death
• Benefit, Maturity Benefit, Survival Benefit etc.and create examples for these calculations in BRD / Excel.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to understand their p es in the BRD where applicable.
• Review test scenarios / test cases, and when needed create it.
• In addition to creating BRD for Waterfall Project Methodology, understanding of Agile
• Framework and preparing the User Stories and Product Backlog.
• Attitude of helping team when needed,especially at the time of peak workload.
• Understand the urgency and responsibility of the task assigned, STRICTLY NO to casual mindset.
• Mentor junior Business Analyst, Testers and other junior team members.
• Track BRD related activities and publish regular updates

Qualifications :

• Expertise in BRD writing for system implementation for Life Insurance Products.
• Certification in advance excel such as PivotTable, different charts plotting, data analysis inexcel, Conditional functions, Index matching(must) VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, most frequently used excel functions etc.
• Passionate for learning new skills.
• Aspire to perform well at work.
• Mathematics background / B.Tech / MBA / Certified in Business Analys Role with deep experience of BRD Writing of Life Insurance
