Job Description
System Administrator / IT Support
We are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic System Administrator / Application Support to fill the opened position in Adastra India professional team in Pune.
The System Administrator / Application Support will be a key part of the Adastra India team and working closely with other Adastra IT Support teams. He / She will be responsible for technical support, maintenance, and installation of computer systems, user administration as well as support and maintenance of several company applications. The successful candidate should be technically savvy, creative at problem solving and with very good customer service skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze, support, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install computer systems, hardware, network, and network connections, security, and equipment related to computer peripherals
- Maintenance and support of different company applications and systems written in Java, Python, PHP and other
- User administration: managing requests for new employees, equipment, and corporate system access and providing support to offices in other locations, maintaining user profiles in the Active Directory
- Ensure all support work is performed to meet company and customer security standards and requirements
- Develop and write procedures for installation, use, automation and troubleshooting of communications hardware and software
Required Skills, Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Educational background in Computer Science or related numerate
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Support and Application maintenance specialist
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy implementation and management
- Experience with hardware and Windows OS (Windows 11) software installation and support
- Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
- Good command of English language both written and spoken
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team and under tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Very good customer service support skills
Additional Skills and Qualifications considered as an advantage:
- Experience in managing virtual infrastructure environment based on Hyper-V
- Experience in developing code with Python, Java, or PHP
- Experience with IPSec, ACLs and VLANs
- Experience with Cisco network equipment is an advantage
- Experience in Information Security activities, like SOC, compliance (ISO27001, TISAX, SOC2 Type 2), audits and other is a strong advantage
- Industry relevant certifications in related field (A+, MTA, MCITP, CCNA)
- ITIL hands-on is a strong advantage
- UNIX and / or Linux experience
