Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / PMO professional with strong experience in managing regional IT or business transformation projects within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder coordination, governance, and ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and standards.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of assigned regional projects within scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
- Coordinate feasibility studies, define scope, and validate requirements with business sponsors.
- Ensure technical and functional feasibility, aligning project solutions with business objectives.
- Prepare and validate project plans, estimates, and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate risks in coordination with stakeholders and governance teams.
- Manage project resources, ensuring adequate technical and functional skillsets.
- Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and alignment across stakeholders.
- Oversee testing strategy, change management, and go-live planning with relevant teams.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and manage project closure activities.
- Maintain proper documentation, governance reports, and compliance with internal standards.
Reporting & Governance
- Consolidate and track all project KPIs budget, scope, schedule, and risk metrics.
- Ensure consistent use of project management tools, templates, and methodologies.
- Support portfolio-level reporting and escalate deviations, risks, and dependencies as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the PMO community.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to project portfolio governance and reporting activities.
- Monitor adherence to organizational standards, budgets, and schedules.
- Collaborate with other PMO leads to strengthen governance processes and delivery consistency.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Expertise in Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Strong knowledge of Budget Control, Risk Management, and Project Governance.
- Understanding of IT Architecture, Business Processes, and Data Flow Management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership abilities.
- Experience in BFSI or large-scale IT project environments preferred.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Certifications: PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile Scrum Master preferred.
Experience: 712 years in IT Project Management, PMO, or Transformation roles (preferably BFSI).
