Job Description
Hi Job Seekers,
We are having multiple openings for the role of Functional Tester for one of our leading Investment Banking client in Mumbai location.
Experience : 5 - 7 years
Location : Mumbai
Sector/ Domain : Banking/ Payments mandatory
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Handling of L2/L3 Functional support in aspect to Application.
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on business requirements.
- Validate end-to-end business flows, UI functionality, data integrity, and error handling.
- Perform testing to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionality.
- Log, track, and retest defects using JIRA tools.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Prepare test reports (execution summaries, defect metrics, coverage analysis).
- Manage handover to APS with support during go-live phase.
- Ensure timely supporting deployments and release management activities.
- Maintain the scripts in Bit bucket.
- Creating, enhancing, debugging and running the testcase
- Write functional specifications for development teams (bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation)
- Support requirement clarification and test data management using Advanced Excel.
- Provide regular progress updates, status reports, and insights to Leads/Onshore managers, product owners, and business leaders.
- Automate all functional and regression test cases.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Banking domain Experience is highly advantageous.
- Providing support when it is needed for EOD execution.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Mandatory:
- The candidate should have excellent communication skills.
- Good understanding of Billing and Payments Domain.
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft excel.
- Experience with SQL for querying and analyzing billing and payment data.
- Strong understanding of financial system, invoicing, payment gateway and reconciliation process.
- Experience with issue tracking tool Jira.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux environment,
- Knowledge of Domestic payments of European / EMEA region would be a plus.
- Hands on knowledge on using automated testing tools.
- Define the test strategy.
- Test book including expected results and tests execution
- Write functional specifications for development teams (bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation).
- L rt requirement clarification and test data management using Advanced Excel.L
