Senior Software Developer C# .NET
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer (C# .NET) with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications. The role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently in an Agile/Scrum environment, and close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders across global teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# .NET and Oracle PL/SQL in accordance with business requirements and coding standards.
- Perform detailed analysis, development, maintenance, and bug fixing activities.
- Develop and support Windows Services and implement multithreading concepts where required.
- Ensure high-quality code through peer reviews and adherence to best practices.
- Take complete ownership of tasks across the full SDLC, from requirement analysis to deployment and post-release support.
Agile & Collaboration
- Work independently within an Agile/Scrum framework and contribute to sprint planning, estimations, releases, and retrospectives.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Jira, Confluence/Intra Wiki, or Word as per team standards.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, application teams, and production support teams across multiple locations.
- Provide regular status updates to technical and functional managers.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of experience in C# .NET application development
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts including Generics, Delegates, Extensions, and Reflection
- Experience with .NET Framework 4.0 or above
- Knowledge of multithreading concepts
- Working knowledge of SQL development
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Ansible
Behavioral & Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with business users, gather requirements, and support UAT
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both senior and junior team members
Nice to Have
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies or Scrum Master role
- Knowledge of Global Markets (Bonds, Repos) and Regulatory domains
- Experience with IBM MQ
- Knowledge of C++ / MFC
- Experience using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT application development or support
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in C# .NET development.
