We are looking for a motivated and detail- oriented Associate QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in manual testing and hands- on exposure to automation frameworks , with the curiosity and ownership to grow into a well- rounded QA professional. You will work closely with developers, project managers, and senior QA engineers to ensure product quality across AcmeMinds projects.
Job Responsibilities - Understand project requirements and prepare test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs through defect tracking tools (e. g. , Jira). Collaborate with developers and project managers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
- Ensure test coverage, consistency, and adherence to QA best practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand- ups, and review meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
- 1 3 years of QA experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Experience with manual testing for web and mobile apps.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python (basic level acceptable).
- Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira, Trello, or similar.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem- solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured).
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Familiarity with performance testing concepts
