Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in manufacturing coolers, refrigeration units, or cooling systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the entire production process to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. The candidate must possess in-depth technical knowledge of cooling systems and extensive experience in managing shop-floor operations, team leadership, and production planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources (manpower, machinery, material).
- Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Design, and QA departments.
- Process Optimization
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reduce production costs and waste without compromising on quality.
- Implement best practices in assembly lines and testing processes for cooling appliances.
- Team Management
- Supervise and mentor production teams, line supervisors, and technicians.
- Ensure adequate training and skill development for team members.
- Monitor workforce productivity and resolve any performance issues.
- Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to maintain product quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to ISO and other regulatory certifications relevant to cooling/refrigeration.
- Maintenance & Safety
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for minimal machine downtime.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Inventory & Material Management
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and components.
- Coordinate with the supply chain team for timely procurement.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Generate regular reports on production metrics, efficiency, and targets.
- Maintain compliance documentation and audit readiness.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in production management, with at least 5 years in cooling systems, refrigeration, HVAC, or similar domains.
- Strong knowledge of cooling technologies, component integration, and assembly processes.
- Proficient in ERP systems and production planning tools.
- Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
