Job Description
We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer with hands-on experience in writing Terraform scripts for infrastructure setup. You will possess a strong understanding of Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) configurations and cloud best practices to efficiently deploy, manage, and scale cloud resources.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, maintain, and optimise Terraform scripts to automate and manage AWS infrastructure setups.
- VPC Configuration: Design, implement, and manage VPCs, including subnets, route tables, internet gateways, and security groups to ensure secure and efficient networking.
- Resource Management: Provision and manage various AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS) using Terraform and ensure infrastructure is compliant with best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers and operations teams to support application deployment and troubleshoot issues within the cloud environment.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Monitoring and Optimisation: Implement monitoring solutions to track performance and utilisation of cloud resources, making recommendations for improvement.
Must have
- Experience: At least 7 years of experience in DevOps area with AWS exposure.
- Proven experience in AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
- Terraform Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Terraform, with the ability to write and manage scripts efficiently.
- VPC Expertise: In-depth understanding of VPC setup, including IP addressing, security, and compliance.
- Scripting Skills: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
Nice to have
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Knowledge of containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
