Job Description
- We are looking for a seasoned Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, Java, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to architect, develop, and optimize backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in cloud-native applications, microservices, and API development, with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Express.js).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, API Gateway).
- Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and cloud-native design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS).
- Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, AWS IAM).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Backend Development
Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Java (Spring Boot, Express.js).
Develop and manage RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external applications.
Cloud & Infrastructure
Architect and deploy solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, and API Gateway.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency of cloud resources.
System Architecture
Lead the design of microservices and event-driven architectures.
Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
Performance & Security
Optimize application performance and reliability.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring solutions using AWS tools (CodePipeline, CloudWatch).
Leadership & Mentorship
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and enforce best practices.
