Senior Software Engineer-AS400/iSeries Developer @ Crescendo Global

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Strong experience in preparing technical design documents and performing impact analysis
• Proven ability to review code, test plans, and test results to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Hands-on experience with AS400 (IBM i) technologies, including coding and unit testing
• Experience providing testing support during system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Knowledge of release management processes and post-implementation production support
• Understanding of non-functional requirements, including performance tuning and security testing
• Ability to support technical leadership by participating in project-level meetings and stakeholder discussions
• Experience mentoring junior team members and providing technical guidance
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

• 58 years of overall IT experience with a strong background in application development and support
• Solid experience working within SDLC frameworks and Agile methodologies
• Hands-on expertise with the iSeries (IBM i) platform, including CLLE, RPGLE, DB2/400, and SQL
• Strong experience with SQLRPG and Free Format RPG development
• Exposure to development and ALM tools such as JIRA, RDI, RTC, ARCAD, Jenkins, HP Quality Center, and MQ
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize work, and perform under tight deadlines
