Job Description

• Proofreading for Errors
  
• Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and typographical mistakes.
• Catch inconsistencies in language, formatting, and presentation.
• Consistency Checks
  
• Ensure uniformity in headings, font styles, page numbers, figure and table labels, citations, and references.
• Verify application of house style or publisher-specific guidelines (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago, OXCOLA)
• Layout and Design Review
  
• Check alignment, page breaks, margins, and placement of images, tables, and charts.
• Confirm that figure/table callouts match their actual placement and labels.
• Correction Verification
  
• Ensure all author or editor corrections from previous rounds have been implemented properly.
• Re-check revised proofs for newly introduced errors.
• Collaboration
  
• Work closely with editors, typesetters, designers, and production coordinators.
• Follow the production schedule and meet tight deadlines.
• Final Quality Assurance
  
• Perform final checks on publication-ready content to ensure a polished, professional output.
