Job Description

Position Title: Project Sales Manager


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience of government, institutional and project sales
  • Lead and drive institutional sales through key stakeholders such as architects, builders, consultants, and contractors.
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on new project opportunities to expand market share.
  • Develop and implement strategies for business development, ensuring sustained growth.
  • Oversee key account management, nurturing long-term relationships with major clients.
  • Responsible for budgeting and sales planning for institutional sales across the financial year for the depot.
  • Build and expand a robust network of business partners and industry influencers.
  • Monitor, nurture, and strengthen relationships with existing business partners to ensure continued success.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to the frontline team, enhancing their performance and capabilities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree (preferably in Business or Marketing) + MBA with a specialization in Marketing.
  • 10-12 years of proven experience in institutional sales, particularly within the paints or building materials sector, working with architects, builders, contractors, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and driving growth in a competitive market.

  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in the local language.
  • Highly dynamic, result-oriented, and driven by objectives, with excellent managerial abilities.
  • Customer-focused, with a knack for building and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset to drive decisions and achieve business goals.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to inspire and lead by example.
