Job Description
- What youll do on a typical day:
- Develop code and advanced technical configuration to support the requirements of major projects using OTM Cloud, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL as well as proprietary technical tools provided by the TMS
- Participate in daily Agile Scrum routines to provide inputs and ensure roadblocks are removed to timely development completion.
- Perform unit testing with documented test cases and results.
- Provide testing support and defect resolution across all testing cycles of a major project including client integration testing and user acceptance testing
- Actively participate in continuous process improvement efforts
- What you need to succeed:
At a minimum, youll need: - Bachelor''s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
3-5 years of experience in software development, in medium to large systems environments - Experience with OTM Cloud, Oracle database, SQL and PL/SQL programming
- Experience with Logistics or Transportation Management System or fair amount of understanding of how OTM SaaS operates with other integrating system
- Strong knowledge of and experience with the software development life cycle and Agile process
- Itd be great if you also have:
- Experience with the Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) SaaS
- Strong aptitude to learn the technical architecture of an existing platform through self-study of existing code
- Experience working with nontechnical end users to explain technical concepts
- Must Have Skills:
- Java 8+ (streams, concurrency), JSON/XML parsing]
- REST client development (preferred for OTM), error handling, retries
- SOAP/WS-Security (UsernameToken) + WSDL tooling
- XSLT transformations and debugging in Java
- OTM Automation Agents concepts & event-driven design
- JDBC/Oracle DB basics; PL/SQL awareness for hybrid patterns
- OIC connector knowledge (REST/WS) and integration recipes
- Build & test (Maven/Gradle), API docs-driven testing
- Optional:
- Groovy, ThymeLeaf in mixed Java projects
