Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Bhavanapadu Port (Mulapeta Port)
Experience: 7 to 11 years
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract
Qualification: Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support the design and construction activities at Bhavanapadu Port. The candidate will be responsible for soil investigation, foundation design, and geotechnical analysis to ensure safe and efficient port infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling, borehole drilling, and laboratory testing.
- Analyze soil properties and prepare geotechnical reports for port structures.
- Design foundations, retaining structures, and ground improvement techniques based on soil conditions.
- Perform bearing capacity analysis, slope stability analysis, settlement calculations, and recommend suitable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IS codes and international standards for geotechnical engineering.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, marine engineers, and project teams for integrated design solutions.
- Provide technical support during construction and monitor ground behavior.
- Prepare documentation and reports for regulatory approvals and project records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Civil Engineering (Masters in Geotechnical Engineering preferred).
- 7 to 11years of experience in geotechnical engineering for infrastructure projects (preferably ports, marine structures, or heavy civil works).
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of IS codes and international standards for soil and foundation design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in challenging site conditions and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in port or marine infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of ground improvement techniques and deep foundation systems.
- Familiarity with environmental and coastal regulations.
