- The Autonomous Database Team is responsible for building the cloud service framework powering various Oracle Autonomous Database cloud services, including Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP). The framework automates deployment, scaling and management of databases in the cloud. It is built on top of Oracles Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Layer.
- The autonomous database cloud service framework features APIs to handle all lifecycle management operations of databases. It also performs operations autonomously based on internal and external events. The team has the unique opportunity to make significant contributions to the full stack of Oracle technology, from database kernel to cloud service platform and to customer-facing portals.
- As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and deploying autonomous database services with deep focus on architecture, production operations, capacity planning, performance management, deployment, and release engineering. You will work with multiple cross-functional teams helping deliver new and outstanding experiences to our stakeholders while ensuring reliability and performance.

- Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree level : BE/BS/MS
- *Core Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle Database technologies, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and performance tuning, with a focus on implementation and troubleshooting. - - Extensive expertise in Oracle Engineered Systems and subsystems with hands-on experience in deployment, optimization, and maintenance.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues, restore system functionality, conduct root cause analysis, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Operational mastery of Linux platforms (e.g., RHEL, OEL), including system administration, maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Strong experience in automation using Python and shell scripting to develop custom solutions, streamline processes, and improve system efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills paired with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of security best practices for web application delivery and familiarity with network infrastructure concepts.
- Proficiency in utilizing configuration management tools to streamline system operations.
