Position Overview:
As an integral part of our Managed Services team, the Network Administrator specializes in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network infrastructures, including wired, Wi-Fi, and security frameworks, with a strong focus on Cisco, Palo Alto, and FortiGate technologies. This role requires a proactive, self-starting individual who can manage multiple projects from design through implementation, effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences, and drive projects to successful completion. This highly client-facing position demands excellent service skills across phone, email, and remote assistance platforms, and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. Client Service:
- Provide outstanding client service, responding promptly and professionally across communication channels.
- Cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships, emphasizing exceptional service and understanding of client needs.
IT Service and Support Functions:
- Offer comprehensive IT support for clients' network infrastructures, prioritizing efficiency and security.
- Gain specific knowledge of clients' businesses and the role of IT in supporting their objectives.
- Lead and manage network-related projects, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and troubleshooting of infrastructure.
- Stay updated on service offerings and align them with clients' needs.
Documentation, Reporting, and SLAs:
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations, project specifications, and client communications.
- Regularly update clients on the status of projects, changes, and scheduled outages.
- Identify and address potential client concerns, reporting significant issues to the Service Manager.
Professional Development:
Engage in continuous learning relevant to network technologies and industry trends.
Pursue professional certications, focusing on areas relevant to our technology stack,
including Cisco CCNA/CCNP and Fortinet NSE.
Administrative:
- Accurately document all activities and time spent on service tickets.
- Adhere to communication protocols and administrative deadlines.
Experience:
- 6-8 years of experience managing complex network environments, particularly with Cisco, Palo Alto, and FortiGate technologies.
- Demonstrated ability in disaster recovery planning and hardware redundancy.
- Familiarity with hardware management software tools (e.g., PRTG, Auvik).
- Proficiency with Cisco ASA/Next-Gen firewalls & switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and FortiGate products.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of network security principles and VPN connectivity to support remote workers.
- In-depth knowledge of network services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and protocols (OSPF, BGP, SDWAN).
- Comprehensive understanding of networking systems, including LANs, firewalls, routers, and switches.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Technical Skills:
